The members of the Tasmanian Family History Society have been transcribing and indexing old documents, newspapers, tombstones and other records since the formation of the society in 1980. All these records are available for people studying family history, as an aid in their research.

The volumes that will be published in this series, not only include personal announcements, but also people, places, events, photos and news items that we believe are relevant to people researching their families.

Earlier publications by the Burnie branch included information about other family members .. As a result of new changes to the Privacy Act we have decided this additional information will not be included. We acknowledge the support that readers have given our branch in previous publications and trust that this publication will provide help with your research.
